A little about
Assignment: Innovation...
The CEO of Assignment: Innovation is Kelly Carpenter. Kelly spent 33 years in public education, 26 as a school administrator. She has served as a Chief Academic Officer and High School Principal for the Gananda Central School District, a rural public school system just outside Rochester, NY. In her roles she committed to fostering growth and innovation, led several district initiatives, including Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and NY Inspires, New York State’s work requiring a Portrait of a Graduate to earn a diploma. She led the transition to a personalized learning model that empowered students to take ownership of their education both in her district and the Wayne Finger Lakes Region. Additionally, Kelly served as Co-President of the Genesee Valley Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development and has facilitated the GVASCD Innovate Upstate Conference at St. John Fisher University.
Kelly led a transformative effort to raise the graduation rate from 78% to 95% within four years. Earlier in her career, she taught social studies and advanced into assistant principal roles across several Rochester-area school districts.
